ONE ON ONE INSTRUCTION
  Shotgun, Rifle, or Pistol.

We have been asked to provide 1 : 1 instruction in the past, but do to limited availabily of the instructors, we could not do so. We've added instructors, and now, 1:1 ratio is available.
WHY TAKE 1:1 dual instruction? We can meet your schedule easier. We can meet your training goals faster. We can eliminate "peer" pressure from classmates. We can do this privately, many forms of classroom instruction can be done in your home. Of course we need to shoot at an approved RANGE, ALL Carry Permit training must be done at an approved range & classroom .. not available in homes).
What do you get for your investment: Personal Service: we tailor the instruction to meet your needs. This doesn't mean we skip steps and take short cuts, this means we will cover all the required items to complete the course, but we have no need to wait for classmates that are struggling and slowing the rest of the class down to a snail's crawl. When you have the concept, we move on.
Training is Objective Based: when you have the concept, we move on to the next subject. We have noticed that learning rates vary. You may need more time in one area while the classmates are ready to move on, and in other areas you may have the concept down but the classmates are slowing you down. One : One eliminates this issue, TOTALLY.
INVESTMENT: $50/hour for a Staff Instructor. While all instructors are training to the highest standards, many specific real life situ- ations cannot be taught. Therefore, Mr. Knox charges a little higher rate based on his vast experience. He can bring additional insight to areas that have not been put into writing for his staff. It's hard to cover everything when writing lesson plans and the spontaneous revelations occur during your personalized 1:1 Training with Greg Knox at $60/hr. Click here for Mr. Knox's resume.
We also have NRA First Steps Pistol, Shotgun, Rifle: 3-5 hrs specifically for your own firearm for entry level shooters: $15/hr .. discount is only good for 1 gun, one offer per student. Click HERE for that webpage. This is a flat rate based on per hour with your instructor. Certain courses require a minimum hour count (such as the Carry Permit Class of 8 hrs minimum, or NRA's Personal Protection Classes), so those hours must be accounted for. What that means for you, more quality training for all the reasons we mentioned above.
ISN'T THIS EXPENSIVE? No. There's a shotgun instructor for skeet / trap charging $90/hr in Nashville. What does a plumber or an electrician charge to come out and work ... $100 just to show up and $95/hr. Even your doctor, dentists, attorneys charge much more per hour.
Bottomline is you get personallize instruction. You will meet your goal in the comfort of private sessions by a very qualified instructor from HGR Firearms. If you want instruction from Greg Knox, a higher investment is required.
OWNERS MANUALS: if you do not have an owners manual for any firearm, contact the manufacturer for a copy, or connect to their website for a download version, or check with internet for links to on line copy. I would suggest this link to find your firearm's manual. http://www.stevespages.com/page7b.htm
