GUN HANDLING, GUN CLEANING, OPPORTUNITIES IN SKILLS ENHANCEMENT, INFORMATION AND TRAINING RESOURCES, FACTS ABOUT THE NRA

As of 2006 48 of 50 States permit law abiding citizens the right to carry a concealed handgun. Most States fall short of requiring “adequate training” and leave the citizen with a vague idea of when and how to engage a hostile threat. Many accidental shootings occur while drawing or holstering a carried firearm. Most of those accidents involve shooting themselves, most in the hand, leg, or foot. Some involve shooting innocent bystanders who have hit by a bullet over-penetration, and others struck by “stray bullets” that failed to hit the hostile threat (The Test of True Gun Control is Hitting the Target). This 14 hour course addresses these issues in three different formats. TOTAL PARTICAPANT INVOLVEMENT (CLASS, RANGE HANDS ON), and at the End of Personal Protection Outside the Home you will have the opportunity to ask questions of a Criminal Attorney or a Police Officer Standards Training Instructor. As a final conclusion and test of your skills, you will be invited to practice your learning in “real life” situations with the International Defensive Pistol Association matches. We are fortunate to have IDPA right here in Gallatin TN. The $15 shooting fee is well worth the networking of new friends and to implement further understanding of the competitive shooting sports as it pertains to self defense of yourself and your family.

Training Time: 14 hours (8 classroom, 6 range)
Ammo: 300 rounds (factory loaded only)   500 is recommended.
